
Marvel: Share Your Universe
In an effort to create a Marvel-branded pro-social initiative, I worked cross-departmentally to create and lead the charge for Marvel: Share Your Universe. Our goal was to encourage Marvel fans to share what they're passionate about with their families - to use the stories, characters and adventures they loved as kids as a way to connect and spend time together. Share your time, share your universe.
The program successfully launched in July of 2013 with great industry and "geek press" press coverage including the Hollywood Reporter, Comic Book Resources, Publishers Weekly and Crave Online.
Working closely with the Marvel.com team, we designed layout. graphics and initial content for Facebook and Marvel websites, including family discussion guides and viewing party printables.
Marvel rolled out grassroots Share Your Universe efforts nationwide, including:

San Diego Comic-Con launch with branded premiums and booth activities

Branded comic-books with family-appropriate content

SYU Branded comic shop events for Halloween nationwide, including event support materials, costume contest prizing and more

New York Comic-Con "Share Your Universe Sweepstakes" and Share Your Universe branded area with social media video kiosk - check out the winning entry below!
The biggest push included synergy partner, Disney Stores! We created custom kids' activities to do in-store, along with content on their big screens. The result was a 29% increase in overall Marvel merchandise for the three months of the promotion.
